About 300 m northeast of the Lifepod, Camp One Shallows is centred on Camp One, a previous colonist settlement set in sparsely vegetated rocky terrain. It is an early environmental-storytelling beat, letting you piece together what happened to earlier explorers before your own arrival.
The presence of the Marrowbreach alongside Nibbler Mango raises the threat above the pure shallows, so it is usually a slightly-later early objective. The reward is worth it: the biome contains the Digestion Adaptability biomod, an important early progression unlock.
