Located ~450 m west of the Lifepod, the Sulfur Pyres (also called the Graveyard) announces itself in-game: the ocean turns orange and an on-screen heat warning appears. Burning sulfur columns dot a fiery red landscape.
Heat Tolerance Adaptation is required to survive here — without it the biome is functionally lethal, a clear mid-game progression wall. It is a primary Gold and Sulfur source and contains a Hot Cave entrance plus Tadpole Pens mission elements, so it doubles as a resource and story zone once you can withstand the heat.
