The Epicurean is a large omnivore related to the Hammerhead but without the armoured head shield. Uninfected individuals are fairly docile. Its danger comes from a parasite: when a Tongue Thief roots in its mouth and blocks its satiety signals, the Epicurean can no longer feel full. It feeds constantly, its aggression spikes, and it becomes a dangerous “starving tank”.
Because the Tongue Thief clusters in the Metal Farms runoff pools, infected Epicureans are common exactly where the parasite is — so the two threats compound each other.
Counterplay: treat any heavily-feeding, aggressive Epicurean as hostile and avoid the runoff-pool clusters where infection rates are highest. A calm, lightly-grazing individual is usually safe to scan; a frenzied one is not.
