The Marrowbreach is an Alpha Predator: not a Leviathan, but the dominant hunter of the mid-depth zones. For most players it is the first creature genuinely capable of ending a run before late-game gear is online.
Behaviour
The Marrowbreach patrols reef edges and canyon approaches, aggressively engaging divers and lightly-armoured vehicles. It is fast enough to punish overextension and hits hard enough that early Tadpole hulls cannot simply tank it.
Counterplay
- Treat the Marrowbreach as a soft wall: its territory marks the edge of “safe” early exploration.
- Use terrain and the Tadpole’s deterrent modules; do not brawl it bare-handed.
- Coming back later with a hardened chassis turns it from a threat into a nuisance — a good progression checkpoint.
