The Shiver Leviathan is a massive predator distinguished by a protruding, exposed bone skull and long pointed fins used for stabbing strikes. Unlike most Leviathans, Shivers hunt in packs, which makes them one of the most dangerous encounters in the game.
The Void
Shiver Leviathans are the enforcers of The Void — the lightless open water beyond the edge of the playable crust shelf. In the Void, a Shiver strike can one-shot an unprotected player. The Void exists specifically to keep players from straying off the map: Shivers make leaving the world fatal.
Behaviour
- Pack hunting: rarely alone. Aggro on one frequently pulls others.
- Stabbing attacks: the bladed fins deal heavy single-hit damage to vehicles and divers alike.
- Territorial: they patrol the outer boundary aggressively and do not break off easily.
The lesson the Void teaches is simple: there is no content out there worth the swim, and the Shivers will make sure you learn it.
