The Bioscanner and Biosampling Kit are dedicated biological tools — the Bioscanner for analysing organisms and damaged structures, the Biosampling Kit for collecting biological samples.
The Bioscanner has a story role: scanning the damaged section of the Ancient Turbine is the first step of the Karakorum Power Plant repair. Beyond that, biological scanning feeds the Data Bank and is how many biomods (the sequel’s upgrade system, replacing fixed modules) are unlocked.
